Professor Marco Bassani TRP Interview #2: Chaining down Leviathan: The American Dream of Self-Government (3/24/23)

We are very honored to welcome back to the program Jeffersonian hero, Dr. Marco Bassani, Professor of History of Political Thought at the University of Milan. He earned his Ph.D. in Political Science in 1995 at the University of Pisa. He was born in Chicago and educated in Italy and the United States, he joined the faculty of the University of Milan in 1998. Professor Bassani's main area of research is American political thought from the American Revolution to the Civil War.

Last year Professor Bassani was on and it was a great success. One of our most listened to interviews ever! We thoroughly discussed his first book, Liberty, State, and Union: The Political Theory of Thomas Jefferson (2010.)

Tonight we will be discussing his second book, Chaining down Leviathan. The American Dream of Self-Government (2021.)

John From Conn & Nick From GA join in for this amazing & very lively hour of talk radio that you simply will not hear anywhere else!

First, professor Bassani updates us as to his travails against Leftist oppression! As the audience might remember; the Left tried to "cancel him" for a funny little cartoon meme he posted about Kamala Harris on his personal Facebook page! Last we heard he was fighting to get some salary back plus more, for a month suspension that was wrongfully handed down to him by his university.

20 questions + with the great professor!

 1) What was the purpose of your second book, Chaining down Leviathan. The American Dream of Self-Government? Is it a continuation of your first book, Liberty, State, and Union: The Political Theory of Thomas Jefferson

2) How do you feel about the term "democracy," when people use it all the time to describe our form of government? The word democracy is not mentioned in the Constitution. Has the meaning changed since Jefferson's time? Isn't the proper term supposed to be "a Republic?"

3) Can you tell us the difference between 19th century Federalism & 20th century Pluralism?

4) This new book almost seems like a prequel to Robert Higgs' great book, Crisis and Leviathan (1987), is it not?

5) Thomas Jefferson's entire life struggle was against the consolidation of power. For him and his "Republican" followers it was always foremost about "self-government & freedom" and not some blind loyalty to the "cult of the Constitution of 1787" and certainly not about some made-up idea of a "perpetual union" that must live forever... correct?

6) The professor reminds us of Andrew Jackson's famous toast to Thomas Jefferson and John C. Calhoun's perfect response!

7) Please explain why the pact of secrecy maintained at the Constitutional Convention of 1787 ended up being such a big win for those that desired enlarging centralized power...

8) At the Convention, isn't it true that most people today think it was simply a "gathering of people" and not what it actually was, a "gathering of States?"

9) Isn't it right that the very few hand-written eyewitness daily accounts of the Convention of 1787 were actually only made public some 35 to 50 years later!?!? How did this help the centralizers to fabricate their false narrative over those years?

10) Why was the idea of "Federal common law" so dangerous?

11) For the Hamiltonian Leftist centralizers of his day and straight on through to Lincoln and his party, it seems the main goal was to engraft the "the modern centralized State of European origin" on the healthy body of the voluntary Republic. Did they want an absolute monopoly where the National government was the self-regulating judge of the extent of its own power?

12) Frank From Queens always asks the question to the audience, "what enforces the Constitution?" What is the answer?

13) Was there a difference between Thomas Jefferson and John C. Calhoun when it came to how to stop out of control centralized power?

14) Using force against a recalcitrant State was rejected at the Convention of 1787 was it not? How was the "Force Bill of 1833," ushered in by Daniel Webster, a major blow to the States' rights movement? Would any single State have ratified the Constitution if they thought force could be used against them by the National government?

15) Can there be Socialism without centralized power?

16) Why do some modern Libertarians not seem to grasp the concept that Ronald Reagan's attempts to beat back centralized power were much harder than say Thomas Jefferson's, because Reagan was completely stymied by circumstance, finding himself smack dab in the middle of a "centralized modern State?"

17) John C. Calhoun properly countered a Marxist myth when he said that, "the source of inequality between the people is not the market but the State."

18) Have we reached the "critical mass of centralization?" Can we ever defeat the mountain of money that drives the deep state? Is there enough federalism left to save us?

19) Was the "American dream of self-government" shattered after the War to Prevent Southern Independence?

20) Power can only be resisted by power; and is "competitive federalism" the best answer to stopping tyranny, mobocracy, & elective despotism?

Professor Marco Bassani Interview! Liberty, State, & Union: The Political Theory of Thomas Jefferson (2/18/22)

We are very honored to welcome yet another Jeffersonian Hero, Marco Bassani, Professor of History of Political Thought at the University of Milan.

He earned his Ph.D. in Political Science in 1995 at the University of Pisa. He was born in Chicago and educated in Italy and the United States, he joined the faculty of the University of Milan in 1998. Professor Bassani's main area of research is American political thought from the American Revolution to the Civil War.

While some of his work is available only in Italian, his books: Liberty, State, and Union: The Political Theory of Thomas Jefferson (2010) and Chaining down Leviathan. The American Dream of Self-Government (2021) are available in English here in the US.

Professor Bassani has also co-authored two textbooks on the history of political theory and has written more than eighty book-chapters and articles for scholarly journals.

Marco Bassani is one of the most well-rounded, distinguished, & respected Jeffersonian scholars in the world. But, last year the "neo-Bolsheviks" attempted to cancel him because they didn't like "a joke" he re-posted about Kamala Harris on his personal social media page. For this audacious crime against humanity... he was ridiculously found guilty of sharing “sexist and highly offensive content, not only toward the directly interested party but toward the entire female gender.” As punishment, his university teaching, and salary were suspended for one month. Oh those Leftist First Amendment/Free Speech supporting heroes!

Professor Bassani discusses his travails as he battles back against Leftist oppression!

Tonight we delve into the professor's tremendous first book as John From Conn joins in. Very soon the Professor will return to discuss his second book and we know that will be just as enthralling!

Thomas Jefferson founded the Republican party and it is his principles that Ronald Reagan promoted

Is there (and has there been for a very long time) a distinct effort by the Left-wing controlled academia to cover up the three great areas of Jeffersonian political philosophy? (his free enterprise economic beliefs, his Lockian inspired natural individual-rights roots, & his decentralized federalism.) And just why is this? All of those immutable truths (including the natural right to life, liberty, property, & self-defense) are as applicable today as they were back then!

The famous Marxian "Jefferson agrarian economic myth" is easily dispelled and Jefferson's true "free enterprise economic genius" is brought to shining light!

Why is a Jeffersonian cornerstone, the Kentucky resolutions (written by TJ in 1798), skimmed over by almost every other prominent Jefferson historian since the War to Prevent Southern Independence?

The consensus here is that only by returning to that very wise & enlightened structure can we stop out of control overreaching centralized government, elective despotism, & mobocracy!

"A little patience, and we shall see the reign of witches pass over, their spells dissolve, and the people, recovering their true sight, restore their government to it's true principles." --TJ

This is almost an hour of "TRP food for the brain" that you simply will not hear anywhere else!

We would like to welcome back to the program, Jeffersonian Hero, Dr. Mark Andrew Holowchak—philosopher, historian, and editor of, The Journal of Thomas Jefferson’s Life and Times. He is author/editor of 15 books—with several more to come—and well over 100 published essays on Thomas Jefferson. He is also author of many other books and numerous essays on psychotherapy, Greek/Roman philosophy, ethics, philosophy of education, philosophy of sport, and critical thinking, among other things. He passes his time in the study of Jefferson’s mind and is currently retired after 33 years of teaching philosophy, classics, history, philosophy of science, and psychology.

The preeminent Jeffersonian scholar of our time returns to TRP to discuss the censorship he continues to face as he dares to apply reason and objective thinking to the historiography of Thomas Jefferson!

One of the books he is currently working is, The Scholars' Thomas Jefferson: Essential Writings.

Dr. Holowchak thanks again for coming back on the program and also helping us honor Thomas Jefferson's 277th birthday which was this past Monday April 13th!

  1. Dr. Holowchek fills us in as to what has been going on since we spoke last year concerning his plight with the "oppressive Leftist orthodoxy" running Monticello... Have his books been allowed there as of yet and have they been open to fact based discussion?
  2. Is the "Hemmings Cult" still calling Jefferson a racist?
  3. Is it true Charlottesville Virginia is no longer celebrating the great Jefferson's birthday and that they are now celebrating something called "Slave Liberation day??"
  4. In light of what is going on right now... What was the extent of and what were Jefferson's thoughts & suggestions to help mitigate epidemics like the "great yellow fever epidemic of 1793" in Philadelphia?
  5. Thomas Jefferson was a polymath. The scale and vastness of his incredibly regimented learning schedule is remarkable! The work ethic he practiced daily for fulfillment is inspiring in scope and accomplishment! "Conceptual" not just "perceptual" thinking every day for such a long extended period!
  6. How much work and effort does it take to really know Thomas Jefferson the man? Do you need to be a polymath to be a Jefferson scholar?
  7. How many books did Jefferson read in his lifetime? How about all the thousands of letters he wrote and answered to everyone both public & private? What style and how in-depth were they? What were the letters to his family and daughters like?
  8. Jefferson very virtuously never desired for any of his voluminous inventions to be patented!
  9. Jefferson had an "incredible interest in the interest of life..." ...Believing men are to be set free to be "truly industrious" in the greatest possible capacity, moving toward the ever expanding light of knowledge & "Free Enterprise!"
  10. Thomas Jefferson was a "Man of Action" grounded in idealism and common sense combining to "champion the rights and accomplishments of virtuous men..."
  11. There has been much debate among historians about what type of religion, if any, Jefferson practiced?
  12. What is the actual evidence when it comes to the paternity of Sally Hemmings' children? Was it all a myth created by disgruntled polemicist James Callender & first put forward by Jefferson's political arch-rivals?
  13. Jefferson was hiding mulatto children at his house! (Not his own and decades before Sally Hemmings' children were born...) His father-in-law's (John Wayles) illegitimate children with slave concubine Betty Hemmings! ...(Sally Hemmings was their daughter. She and 5 of her siblings along with their future children all lived at Monticello starting in 1773 after John Wayles' death...)
  14. What's the difference between a "modern liberal", "classical liberal" & a "Jeffersonian Republican?"
  15. Why did Jefferson create the Jefferson Bible and why did he promote a "wall of separation between church and state?"
  16. In what letter did Jefferson famously write, "Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call to her tribunal every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a god; because, if there be one, he must more approve the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear."
  17. What was the sum total of Jefferson's morality and his "moral sense?"
  18. What were Jefferson's thoughts of John Adams & Alexander Hamilton?
  19. Is "the city dwellers" versus "the farmers" paradigm still applicable today?
  20. How everything in "Jeffersonian Republicanism" is still applicable today!

Dr. Mark Andrew Holowchak returns! (4/5/19)

We would like to welcome back to the program, a true Jeffersonian hero, Dr. Mark Andrew Holowchak—philosopher, historian, and editor of The Journal of Thomas Jefferson’s Life and Times—is a professor of philosophy/history. He is author/editor of 11 books—with several more to come—and 90 published essays on Thomas Jefferson. He is also author of many other books and numerous essays on psychotherapy, Greek/Roman philosophy, ethics, philosophy of education, philosophy of sport, and critical thinking, among other things. He passes his time in the study of Jefferson’s mind and currently teaches history and philosophy at Virginia University of Lynchburg.

The preeminent Jeffersonian scholar of our time returns to TRP to discuss his upcoming book, [God’s] justice can not sleep forever”: Rethinking Jefferson’s Views on Race and Slavery, and the censorship he's facing as he dares to apply reason and objective thinking to the historiography of Thomas Jefferson!
  • Dealing with the "extreme Left" that controls the liberal academic university publishing orthodoxy in this country is almost like dealing with "the old Bolshevik regime" in that we may have to find Professor Holowchak's books on the samizdat black market! ...How dare he go against their orthodoxy!
  • We demand that Annette Gordon Reed, "High Priestess of the Hemings cult," debate Professor Holowchak in open forum! ...Her and her ilk have appropriated millions of dollars of grant money to push and propagandize a myth!
  • We are supposed to have an open exchange of ideas based on fact! ...Bring back freedom of discussion and truth! ...The "extreme Left-wingers" that sadly now control Monticello will not allow any dissent to their narrative that the great founding father, Thomas Jefferson, was a "racist"... Professor Holowchak clearly and concisely crushes that sad and silly modern "politically correct" notion!
  • Jefferson was simply "not capable of hatred" and the Professor systematically explains why! ...He examines Jefferson's mind and does so in the context of his time...
  • What would Jefferson say today and would he change his views?
  • Professor Holowchak disseminates who the scientific and philosophical influences were behind Jefferson's morality...
  • What exactly was Jefferson's "moral sense?"
  • If the "extreme Left" can tear down Confederate historical statutes... the day may come when they demand that Jefferson be removed from Mount Rushmore! ...They know that if they can control the past they can then control the present and if they control the present they control the future!
  • Modern Left-wing academia draws inspiration from the Frankfurt School!
  • Was Alexander Hamilton an "American Lion" or an "American Jackal???" ...Our Resident Jeffersonian, John From Conn, calls in and discusses the original "First Party Struggle" between Thomas Jefferson, creator of the "Right-wing" Republican party, and Alexander Hamilton, creator of the "Left-wing" Federalist party.
  • The cavernous divide between "Hamiltonian centralized Nationalism" and "Jeffersonian decentralized Federalism!"
  • We just fought a Revolutionary War to escape tyranny yet Alexander Hamilton still engrafted a corrupt British mercantile type economic system on the healthy body of our burgeoning Republic! ...How he wanted a system where the elites & the Plutocrats controlled the country!
  • How Jefferson believed in Free Enterprise & merit! ...He summed it up best when he said, "Agriculture, Manufacturers, Commerce & Navigation, the four pillars of our prosperity, are the most thriving when left most free to individual enterprise!" ..."Debt & Taxes are public evils of the first magnitude as they drain capital from the mass of the citizens, divert it from productive enterprise, and support a system of coercion, corruption, & privilege that was the bane of every government and is necessarily fatal to a free one!" ..."The dependent man of any kind cannot be trusted with the Liberty of others!"
  • How Jefferson preferred "turbulent Liberty" to "quiet servitude!"
  • Did Jefferson follow a "rigorous Stoic self-interest to the attainment of the Epicurean good life?"
  • How much did Jefferson's stay in France as Minister (1784-89) effect his thinking? ...Are periodic rebellions good for a Republic??
  • Did Jefferson believe that "what is practical must control pure theory?"
  • How the modern day "Federal Government aggrandizers" are intentionally covering up our true Jeffersonian roots!
  • The disgrace that was  "Assumption" and the Funding Act of 1790 and how Alexander Hamilton and his cronies used "insider information" to make 37 million dollars while robbing Revolutionary War veterans out of their scrip and war bonds for pennies on the dollar!
  • Hamilton unconstitutionally pushed through the First National Bank in opposition to Jefferson & Madison! ...All to benefit the high finance stock jobbers and market manipulators of his day!
  • How Hamilton "the Founding Father of Big Government" a "political opportunist" invented today's left-wing "Living Breathing document" and how it differed from what today's right-wing would call Jefferson's "originalist strict construction" ...Hamilton gave the blueprint to every Left-wing devil that was to come... He was the original pervertor of the Constitution of 1787 as he "read between the lines" and invented "implied powers!" ...He was also the original abuser of the "commerce," "general welfare," & the "necessary & proper" clauses!
  • How the hard Right of Jefferson's day thought he became too "moderate" as President...
  • Jefferson's often forgotten "Draft Declaration & Protest of Virginia" (1825) beautifully summed up how the government was supposed to be!
  • Historian Douglass Adair properly believed Jefferson was in fact hiding something at Monticello... Not his... but his "father-in-law's progeny!"
  • Disgruntled Federalist propagandist James Callender invented the "Hemings myth" in the early 1800's... It was a scandal as huge then as today's Monica Lewinsky scandal... To think after being "found out" nationally that he would continue going back to that well for over a decade is laughable...
  • The Jeffersonian "Principles of 1798" & the 10th Amendment may be our last best hope!
  • How the recent and Federally defiant "State marijuana laws" appear to be one example where the sovereign power of the individual States is fostering Liberty for it's citizens!
  • The Declaration of Independence was a document of secession!
  • To understand that our "2nd Constitution," the Constitution of 1787, may not have been necessary, read Merrill Jensen's, A New Nation: A History of the United States during the Confederation (1781-1789)!

Dr. Mark Andrew Holowchak Interview! (8/10/18)

We'd like to welcome to the program a true "Jeffersonian hero" if there ever was one, Dr. Mark Andrew Holowchak.

He is editor of The Journal of Thomas Jefferson's Life and Times and is a professor of philosophy & history. He is author/editor of 10 books (many more to come!) and some 80 published essays on Thomas Jefferson--all since 2013--and is acknowledged by several scholars (including John From Conn) to be one of the world’s foremost authorities on the thinking of Thomas Jefferson.

He is also author of four books on psychotherapy and many books on Greek/Roman philosophy, ethics, and critical thinking. He, like us, considers himself politically to be a Jeffersonian or a Thomas Jefferson republican, who takes very seriously Jefferson's ideal of government, which he characterizes as follows: "A government is Jeffersonian republican if and only if it allows each citizen the same opportunity to participate politically and fully in affairs within their reach and competency; it employs representatives, chosen and recallable by the citizenry and functioning for short periods, for affairs outside citizens’ reach and competency; it functions according to the rules (periodically revisable) established by the majority of the citizens; and it guarantees the equal rights, in person and property, of all citizens."

1) Could you tell us a bit more about yourself and your interest in Thomas Jefferson?

2) Your CV indicates that you’ve authored 10 books on Jefferson and some 80 published essays, and that you are the editor for The Journal of Thomas Jefferson’s Life and Times (part of the Thomas Jefferson Heritage Society). Tell us something about the journal. What are its aims? Why the need for such a journal?

3) In a recent paper, you quote biographer Henry Adams: “A few broad strokes of the brush would paint the portraits of all the early Presidents but Jefferson could be painted only touch by touch, with a fine pencil, and the perfection of the likeness depended upon the shifting and uncertain flicker of its semi-transparent shadows.”   ...What precisely did Adams mean?

4) Was Jefferson a product of the enlightenment or was he just a genius? How did he relate his great depth and creativity to his political life?

5) Jefferson thought of his ascendancy to the presidency in 1800 as a second revolution, perhaps equally as important to the one that set off the drive for American independence. Why was that so?

6) You've said that you just moved to Lynchburg, VA. Is there a Jeffersonian reason for the move, or is there some other reason?

7) Do you think these recent smears against Jefferson are done because of a political agenda? Why has he become the fall guy? Was Thomas Jefferson a racist?

8) You mean that the “manifesto,” as you call it, moved you to Virginia? Is that right? Take us down your path—I mean, what precise course of events at Monticello forced your hand?

9) Isn’t that a change of mind from what the Thomas Jefferson Foundation said in 2000 concerning Jefferson’s affair with Sally Hemings?

10) A “sea change”? What do you mean? On what evidence does the Foundation claim that the relationship is now “factual”?

11) Will you debate revisionist Annette Gordon-Reed of Harvard, (the high priestess of the Hemings cult)?

12) We know that with all the work you’ve done on Jefferson that many scholars have called you the world’s foremost authority on Jefferson’s mind—none of your books is available at Monticello’s library... Is that really so??

13) What do you think of the books: Jeffersonian Legacies, by Peter Onuf, (of Jefferson's University of Virginia) & Thomas Jefferson: A Life, by William Sterne Randall?

14) How can people contact you if they wish you to speak at their college or university or business?

Dr. Kevin Gutzman Interview! (3/23/18)

We are honored to to be joined tonight by esteemed professor and Chairman in the Department of History at Western Connecticut State University, Dr. Kevin Gutzman. He is the acclaimed author of four NY Times Best Selling books and is also a faculty member at LibertyClassroom.com.

He is here to talk about the most revolutionary of all the founding fathers... the Hero of "the productive class"...  creator of the Republican party... and the philosophical backbone for decentralized liberty in our burgeoning Republic. The immortal polymath... Thomas Jefferson!

Dr. Gutzman's book is titled, Thomas Jefferson Revolutionary: A Radical's Struggle to Remake America!

It is truly a great read!

(We focus tonight on Chapter #1 which deals with Jefferson's views on government and society.)

Professor Gutzman brings incredible depth and insight into answering the following:
  • Explain why Jefferson wanted a Republic that practiced "Federalism" or "Sovereign States' rights"...
  • What was the difference between "Hamiltonian centralized nationalism" and "Jeffersonian decentralized federalism?"
  • Jefferson studied the Roman Republic, how much of that influenced him?
  • Explain how Hamilton invented today's left-wing "Living Breathing document" and how it differed from what today's right-wing would call Jefferson's "originalist strict construction"...
  • Was it not in fact this "battle of interpretations" that truly lead us on a path to disunion in 1860? ...Did Jefferson believe that if you voluntarily entered a union you could voluntarily leave?
  • TRP Guest, 10th Amendment Center's Michael Maharrey, and a large number of others believe "Nullification and Interposition" is the answer to stopping out of control centralized government... do you agree?
  • Jefferson's often forgotten "Draft Declaration & Protest of Virginia" (1825) beautifully summed up how the government was supposed to be....did it not?
  • How today's Democrats mostly take "Anti-Jeffersonian" positions and why they no longer want to associate with Jefferson...
  • Not counting George Washington... 13 of the first 17 presidential terms (throw in a month for William Henry Harrison) were "Jeffersonian Republican" terms... Have the centralized government aggrandizers post "War of Northern Aggression" progressively covered up our great Jeffersonian roots?!?
  • What did Jefferson observe that made him believe that the cities were corrupt and the countryside was pure?
  • During Jefferson's time could only property owners vote?
  • Were the dangers of "mobocracy" forewarned by Jefferson?
  • Historians in the past 100 years have decided to create the term "Democratic-Republican" for Jefferson's "Republican" party... But, he never called it that... Wasn't Lincoln's Republican party far different in views from that of Jefferson's "original" Republican party?
  • One final whimsical question: Jefferson's beloved wife Martha hated to travel. If she had NOT died giving birth in 1782 he likely would not have later traveled to France as Minister. How would the world have been different if Jefferson hadn't gone to France? For one...would his influence have helped to make the 1787 Constitutional convention more Republican in nature??

Interview with Michael Maharrey! (11/10/17)

We are very happy and honored to welcome, Michael Maharrey, National Communications Director for the Tenth Amendment Center, to the program. Their website is TenthAmendmentCenter.com (That's Tenth spelled out!)

Michael speaks at events across the United States, and frequently appears as a guest on local, national and international radio shows advancing constitutional fidelity and Liberty through "decentralization."

Hailing from Lexington, Kentucky, he’s extremely proud that his home state originated the Jeffersonian "Principles of ’98" laying the groundwork for State nullification of unconstitutional acts.

He is the author of three books...

Our Last Hope – Rediscovering the Lost Path to Liberty, makes the historical, philosophical and moral case for nullification.

Smashing Myths: Understanding Madison’s Notes on Nullification, digs deep into James Madison’s views on nullification, focusing on his writing’s later in life.

Nullification Objections: Dismantling the Opposition, a book that takes apart the common objections to nullification one at a time!!

Michael wonderfully explains:
1) The Jeffersonian "Principles of 1798!!"
2) "Federalism" and the value of a "Republic" as it was understood by the founding generation...
3) How "all Founding Fathers were not equal!!" (Although Hamilton called himself a "Federalist" he DID NOT support "Federalism!!")
4) The original divide between Jeffersonian "Decentralized Republicanism" and Hamiltonian "Centralized Nationalism..."
5) How the recent and Federally defiant "State marijuana laws" appear to be one example where the sovereign power of the individual States is fostering Liberty for it's citizens.
6) The Hamiltonian "Living Breathing Document" versus Jeffersonian/Madisonian "Strict Construction"...
7) Despite his noble efforts and if this keeps getting worse and worse for Liberty "after a long train of abuses and usurpations that eventually reduce us under absolute despotism" ..."peaceful secession" is the option of last best resort...
8) Whether "sanctuary cities" should be allowed by the sovereign States...
9) What "right to try laws" are...
10) What the Tenth Amendment Center's aims are and what his optimistic hopes for the future are...

"Resident Intellectuals" George the Atheist, Dr. Steve from Detroit, and John from Conn call in and join John & Frank for a round table discussion of this unbelievably enthralling interview!!

"Always mourn the original 9/11... September 11th, 1789... The day "Left-wing" Hamilton was appointed Secretary of Treasury!!"

Read: How Alexander Hamilton Screwed Up America, by Brion McClanahan

Read the immortal Thomas Jefferson
 Hero of the "productive class!!"

Setting the record straight... This is how it was supposed to be folks!! We lost our liberty to the Centralized Nationalists!! Fight to retain the sacred fire of Liberty and restore Jeffersonian Decentralized Federalism!!!

"TRP is FOOD for your brain!!"

You simply will not hear this type of discussion anywhere else!!!

Bill Walker Interview! (8/12/16)

We would like to make our audience aware of an easily provable government conspiracy to violate the constitution. "We The People of the 50 Sovereign States" are clearly being denied our constitutional right to an Article 5 Convention to propose amendments, despite a whopping  750 plus Article 5 applications from the state legislatures of 49 of all 50 states. Only 34 (two thirds or approximately 67%) are required.

Article 5 is clear in statement and in meaning, contains no ambiguity and calls for no resort to rules of construction. A mere reading demonstrates that this is true. It provides two methods for proposing amendments. Congress may propose them by a vote of two-thirds of both houses, or, on the application of the legislatures of two-thirds of the States, Congress must call a convention to propose them.

So why has Congress ignored the Constitution???...

Bill Walker, Co-Founder of Friends of the Article 5 Convention, is here to tell us! He is a former journalist and newspaper publisher. He has graduated from Washington State University with a BA in journalism. He has brought two federal lawsuits, Walker v. United States (2000) and Walker v. Members of Congress (2004), the last taken in appeal to the Supreme Court of the United States. The two lawsuits dealt specifically with the obligation of Congress to call an Article V Convention. Walker v. United States was the first such lawsuit in American history!
His website is FOAVC.org.

He explains what an Article 5 convention is and dispels many common myths that have cropped up over the years. He also speaks about the original intent of the framers and addresses many misrepresentations and road blocks made by The John Birch Society and others over the years...

John From Conn calls in after to discuss the interview and talks about the last best options to stopping out of control centralization and the many headed hyrdra of monolithic government! Including Nullification & Secession..

We know you will find the following enthralling!!

You are encouraged to read "Lincoln cultist" J.G. Randall's famous book (link below). He could not deny Lincoln's abuses even though in the end he weakly tried to rationalize them:

TRP! (4/25/14)

The "War of Federal Aggression" and their "school of consolidation" ruthlessly continues! This week, patriot, Cliven Bundy, is called a "domestic terrorist" by that piece of human garbage Harry Reid! The Federal monstrosity that is the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) continues their war on State Sovereignty & Individual Rights! Their nose has been bloodied and they are sure to come back to continue their torment of this honorable man! "End centralization and save Liberty!"

The "Republican Circular Firing Squad," led this time by also-ran, Bob Dole, are at it again! Dole says that fellow Republicans Ted Cruz and Rand Paul are "not qualified to be president!" Just more attacks by the "status quo" Republi-can'ts on the Tea Party!

Despite the Foreign Occupier's "street thug rep", his "weakling foreign policy" continues to rear it's ugly head around the Wurrrrld! Our foreign enemies continue to have their way, while the American citizenry prove to be the true aim of their cross hairs! All this while millions of dollars in bonuses are paid to IRS criminals responsible for last year's tyranny!

Instead of the Bolshevik nut bag Ira Einhorn inspired "Earth Day," TRP celebrated "World Solutrean Day" on April 22nd! ...Scott Wolter returns as promised and it was another great discussion!

PLUS:

...Amazing political and societal prophecy continues to pour forth on the "digital air waves" every Friday Night at 9:00 PM Eastern! "Thinking Man's Talk Radio" here on TRP!....While mainstream "political gossip radio" drones on with their forgettable "daily hot-topic muck" to fill air time, TRP refuses to conform and continues to lead the way! In-depth history is examined and disseminated, using reason to explore cutting edge ideas and rediscover our once great Republic!

Some facts about slavery minus the modern political correctness: The Old South is constantly depicted as the bastion of slavery for the world pre-1865, but less than 6% of the 10.7 million total African slaves that survived being taken off that continent made it to the North America!...(Between 1525 and 1866, in the entire history of the slave trade to the New World, according to the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade Database, 12.5 million Africans were shipped to the New World. 10.7 million survived the dreaded Middle Passage, disembarking in North America, the Caribbean and South America. And how many of these 10.7 million Africans were shipped directly to North America? Only about 388,000. That's right: a tiny percentage!)....From the years 1500 to 1700 over 1 million Whites were enslaved by Arab Merchants!....The southern slaves were worth 3 billion dollars on the eve of the "The War of Northern Aggression" (a sum greater than the value of all manufacturing and railroads in the United States at the time.) Were the top 5% that owned the vast majority of southern slaves expected to give that up without compensated emancipation?? The average white free hold farmer, mechanic, and artisan of the time hated competing against "free slave labor" that undercut their efforts, but, they didn't want them all turned loose overnight either, to rule over them, like the Boervolk today!!....Django Unchaineduses the "N-Word" 114 times in a sick, vicious, and laughable modern caricature of the Old South!...Spain had slavery until 1886, Brazil until 1888, why were those countries not invaded and their slaves freed?!?!

....Was Captain James T. Kirk a member of the "Cult of the Constitution?"....The Constitution of 1787 has failed in it's aims, where is the promised "Liberty for the posterity"??....Patrick Henry and all the great "Anti-Federalists" (those forgotten heroes that supported our original and true Constitution, The Articles of Confederation!) predicted all the evils of consolidation that would result from the flawed and vague Constitution of 1787!....The "mysterious" reason we have a "two party system" is explained....

The 150 year cover up of our "Jeffersonian Free Enterprise" roots is exposed!...Thomas Jefferson is the originator of the "Grand Ole Party!!" Both he and Ronald Reagan are polar opposites of that counterfeit Republican, "Dishonest Abe Lincoln!"....Reagan never got proper credit for curbing inflation! That along with his tax cuts created the "ReaganBoom!"....Ronald Reagan's "devolution revolution," his blue print to reestablish "Federalism" and restore the Republic is brought to light with the recounting of his amazing executive order 12612 on October 26th, 1987! Unfortunately, 11 years later, all the good that was done was revoked by Clinton's executive orders 13083 and 13095!...Rediscover Jeffersonianism and save the Republic before it is too late!!

Only with banking reform and sound "hard" commodity based money can the "productive middle class" truly conduct Free Enterprise!...LBJ demonetized our coinage, it used to be 90% silver and provided an "easily accessible mini store house of value" for the productive class!....Hard money at the State level & 100% reserve banking!....Not the "Invisible hand," but the "loving hand" of Free Enterprise!!....Taking the "fangs out of majoritarianism" and the need for a separation of economics and state!...J.J Hill, the "Industrial Free Enterprise Hero," creates his "Great Northern" railroad without a dime of Federal money, unlike the corrupt, inefficient, and poorly built boondoggle that was the "Transcontinental" railroad and the Crédit Mobilier scandal!...Before the 14th amendment (1868), everyone was a citizen "only" of their State (they considered it their ancestral country), after the 14th Amendment everyone was made a dual citizen, not just of their State, but, of some rogue entity called "The United States," in which everyone was forced to pledge allegiance to a newly centralized National Government!...Is Atlas Shrugging?? Is it time for us to meet at Ayn Rand's Galt's Gulch??....

The Immortal Thomas Jefferson
Founder of the Republican Party!
Hero of the "Productive Class!"

TRP! (6/21/13)

Frank is outraged by the Ministry of Lies' treatment of Paula Deen. He points out that it is yet just another serial attack against white southerners. He thinks she responded too quickly and panicked at their silly accusations of racism for comments she made over 25 years ago under duress. Frank emailed the Food network to tell them he will no longer be watching!

Both Frank and John feel suffocated by the ongoing Leftist oppression orchestrated by the Foreign Occupier's illegal regime. John wakes up every morning with a pit in his stomach knowing that the country he loves and fought for in Vietnam is slipping away. They rightly feel that no one represents us anymore. The "Republi-can'ts" are simply an echo not a choice. None of them are willing to do what is takes to beat back socialism. Frank predicts the great societal upheaval is coming. Trying to win national elections and hope a Republi-can't can be our savior is no longer a realistic model for success. If Reagan couldn't do it, we can't expect anyone to do it. It's time to throw out the national playbook and try another way. The answer seems to be to restore the decentralized Republic which existed before the War of Northern Aggression. Centralization leads to tyranny, decentralization leads to liberty! The oppression we feel today is no different then what the Southerners felt they were condemned with under the Lincoln regime.

Frank coins the term "classophobic"...TRP is education for the "productive class"...The little known early history of socialist communities in the United States...Obama likely a drug addict..."Obamunism," chains we can believe in!...The Corwin Amendment proves the Northerners did not go to war to end slavery and that keeping slaves was not what truly motivated Southern secession...Thomas Jefferson's first inaugural must be read by every liberty loving American!...James Madison "specifically rejects socialism" when Robert Owen shows up at his doorstep...The Declaration of Independence was a document of secession!...The World War Z trailer looks like the current state of our borders...Socialist Brazil's society is breaking down...John From Conn goes on an anti-Lincoln filibuster and pushes for the new peaceful secession movement...Jared of Missouri and Paul from Sarasota talk about self-hating Americans...Communist Angela Davis is wheeled out once again by the Left and Frank tells us of when she essentially threatened to kill him!...Your phones calls and much much more at 1.718.761.9996!
