This story is insane. A senior CIA official with Top Secret clearance invented a fake Special Access Program and used it to defraud the U.S. government of $194 MILLION. The FBI found 298 gold bars worth roughly $46 million, $2.1 million in cash, and dozens of luxury watches at his Virginia home. Another $145 million was funneled through a front company to buy four Florida mansions. No one could question it because they weren't cleared to. Yesterday he pleaded guilty to ONE count of wire fraud. If one man can fake a black program for $194M, how many real ones have never been audited?
