George Washington & Thomas Jefferson used a political spectrum line that was essentially a "freedom meter." You had "tyranny" on one side "anarchy" on the other. Tyranny & Strong Centralized Government sits today on what we call the Left. Freedom & Decentralized Government sits to what we call the Right. The further you go either way the greater the potential for tyranny or anarchy.
We seek the greatest amount of individual freedom possible consistent with an orderly society. The constitution of 1787 if "strictly followed as originally intended" can give us that now and forever.
