Mark Michael Lewis "Apollo & Dionysus Interview!" (7/5/19)
We are very happy and honored to welcome back, Mark Michael Lewis, a prominent "Objectivist," to the program. He is here to discuss Ayn Rand's "Pro reason... Pro individual rights... Pro free-enterprise" philosophy...
(To honor the 50th Anniversary) Tonight he will specifically examine her famous Lecture, Apollo and Dionysus, that she delivered at Boston's Ford Hall in 1969, that honored the great men of purpose that made up the Apollo Space Program... Mark is an "Entrepreneur Coach" who specializes in integrating Ayn Rand’s philosophy and capitalist ideas into profitable actions for more prosperity, purpose, and pleasure.
He is also an author, speaker, consultant, & is the host of the very popular "Becoming an Ayn Rand Hero Podcast" where he has worked with and interviewed some of the biggest names in the world of philosophy...
As always Mark clearly lays out and explains Ayn Rand's philosophy and makes the case that choosing to think "reasonably" and "objectively" is really the only way to solve the world's ever pressing problems!
Left = Force, Violence, Coercion, Group rights & Strong Centralized Government
Right = Peace, Liberty, Property rights, Individual rights & Decentralized Government
===========================
George Washington & Thomas Jefferson used a political spectrum line that was essentially a "freedom meter." You had "tyranny" on one extreme & "anarchy" on the other.
Tyranny & Strong Centralized Government sits today on what we call the Left. Freedom & Decentralized Government sits on what we call the Right. The further you go either way the greater the potential for tyranny or anarchy. History has proven though that the much greater risk comes from tyranny.
===========================
We seek, "the greatest amount of individual freedom possible consistent with an orderly society." The Constitution of 1787, "strictly followed as originally intended," can give us that now and forever.
