The ideological split of the Republican party is nothing new... To understand Tucker & MTG etc. you need to understand the original Jeffersonian Republican party (which Jefferson & Madison founded) and the Tertium Quids...Also it was never known as the "Democratic-Republican" party back then, that is a term post-War of Northern Aggression Big-Government aggrandizing intellectuals came up with much later... It was only ever known as the "Republican" party (the GOP.) It represented the productive middle-class and when politicians, then and now, go against the productive middle-class— you will have factions in the Republican party!💡
